Happy Valentines Day Mom!

Since it’s Valentine’s Day, I have been thinking a lot about the people that I love and those that matter most to me in my life.  And while ♥Luke Benward♥ is off making a new movie at the moment, and the one boy at school gave someone else a teddy bear instead (haha), I thought I would talk about my next favorite person in the world… my MOM! (Just kidding mom! You know that you are number one.)

When I picture my mom in my head, I don’t see her as an ordinary woman, I see her as a superhero.  I don’t mean the kind of superhero who wears a tight Wonder Woman costume and fights crime all over the city (although I think that’s what my dad sees :) ).  The kind of superhero I see is a beautiful woman with amazing talents and abilities who loves and protects her family and helps everyone else around her.  To me that makes her a superhero – especially because we have such a big family and she is so amazing at being a mom.  It’s amazing to me that my mom does all the typical things mom’s are supposed to do, such as doing the dishes, doing laundry, cooking dinner, tucking us in at night, driving to school, dance and gymnastics, making breakfast, helping with homework, cleaning the house, and many many other things needed to take care of five kids and my dad, but she also has time to help her many friends and other family members, and she does all of this with a smile on her face and makes everyone feel so loved.  And I know for a fact that this is not an easy thing to do because I do dishes at times, and lets be honest, they really suck and I don’t feel like smiling when I do them!  I think it would be great if all people had a mom like mine.  Being loved by her makes me feel like I can do anything.  And I have no doubts that my mom loves me and all of my brothers and sisters more than anything in the world!  And that is why I think she is the best mom in the universe!

I love you Mom!  Happy Valentines Day!

Let’s Party!

A couple days ago my mom asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday party. I’m turning double digits this year (PARTY BLOWER!!), so I want it to be fun, but I’ve kind of outgrown the typical little kid stuff. So I have been brainstorming and thinking about what me and my friends would enjoy, and these are some of the winning party ideas I came up with. :)

If you want to invite a lot of friends to your party then you can make a cooking party at your house.  You could go to a party supply store (like Zurchers) or go online and find everyone cheap chef hats and aprons that you can decorate with your name and cool designs, and then make your favorite foods and treats.  Mine would be personal pizzas and cupcakes!

Speaking of cupcakes… if you don’t want to mess up your own kitchen, then you could do a private cupcake decorating party. Where I live, there is a great place called One Sweet Slice, which will allow you to make a cupcake decorating party reservation and they do most of the work for you. Super fun and no mess at home – bonus!  Then you could go out for the pizza! Oh yeah!

If you want to keep your party small and invite only a few of your favorite friends then I think it would be fun to go to a nail salon.  It would be a little more expensive, but I know for a fact that me and my friends would LOVE a little mani pedi time! After the nail salon you could go to your favorite restaurant!

If you don’t feel like driving everyone around, but you still want to do toes and nails, then you don’t have to waste your time! There are plenty of people who are willing to come to you.  For example, where I live, Steph is the best at doing glitter toes! Visit her blog, Glitter Toes By Steph, and you can see all the great things she does for a party, including manicures, pedicures and even massages! I could live with eating pizza and cupcakes while getting glitter on my toes! :)

Whatever I end up doing, as long as I have my besties with me, it’s sure to be a fun party!

Birthday Wishes

A lot of people have been asking me what I want for my birthday since it’s coming up soon. Usually I have no idea what I want because my birthday is not that far after Christmas. But this year I knew exactly what I wanted, and I think any 10-year old girl would feel the same way! These are a couple of ideas I have. There is this one thing called an Uncle Milton’s Rainbow in my Room. It is a small box-type projector with an arch over it. If you turn it on, it projects a rainbow in your room! I think this idea is really cool because let’s face it… who doesn’t like rainbows – especially one in your room!

I also thought I might enjoy a Rainbow Loom. Oh my gosh… I just realized that there is a birthday theme going on here.  All of my friends have a Rainbow Loom and I enjoy making bracelets on their loom, so I thought that I should get one of my own!  Cuz’ let’s be honest… no one likes a mooch!

Another great idea for girls my age is the Ultimate Spa and Perfume Kit by Science Explorer. I got one for Christmas and I am so exited to try it out! You can find them really easily online from Amazon or Target or other places.

I still haven’t had my birthday yet, so maybe I can tell you some more ideas if I think of anymore you would want to learn about.
